Welcome to my personal blog in which I share my thoughts regarding my teaching experience and other topics I find interesting. I hope you find your visit worthwhile :)

Google Drive:
From the time I took the EDIT course in my undergraduate years, I learned how to save documents and files in the google drive and how to share it with different people and it was very useful to me in my everyday life. It can keep a huge amount of documents for a life time. And now in this course, I used it in new ways such as working on google docs, forms and slides. This is helpful especially in group work since we can all work and edit the same file at the same time from different places. We can teach students how to save their projects and assignments in google drive and we can ask them to work in groups as we've mentioned before.
Pad-let:
A Pad-let is a very beneficial application that teachers can use with their students. It's an application where someone can write a question and wait for the comments of the audience. In teaching, a teacher can write a question for discussion and asks the students to write their own points of view in comments. The teacher and the students can view the comments, they can make reactions, rate and comments on their peers' comments as well.
Kahoot:
An easy-doing and fun application! We tried it in class and it was amazing! The teacher asked us questions using Kahoot and everyone in class was able to answer them from his own laptop. The quicker with the correct answer was the winner. It requires focus and attention. But I think that everyone who answers the correct answer should be the winner. It shouldn't measure the speed since many students need time to think but they end up with the correct answer. Maybe it's here a challenge to teach students how to find an answer quickly. However, it can be used in classroom to break the ice, to check for understanding or to assess students in different aspects.
Webquest:
I loved creating my own web where I designed a detailed project for grade 6. It was about a historical fiction story which is "Drumbeat of Freedom". What's special in web quests is that the tasks are clear and well-described for students. Also, the resources are safer for them since it would have the links they have to get the information from when searching about a certain topic. It would help the teacher consume time of explanation and it would help students have the answers for all their questions through the process part.
Bridge Plan:
Bridge plan is a good way of presenting an educational issue and a plan to improve it. I have worked with Dana Youssef in this bridge plan. We chose this topic since we took it in Classroom Dynamics course and we found that some teachers aren't aware for the different and appropriate ways they should use when responding to students' answers. We used a template from piktochart website then we worked on it and we added the three steps of the plan. Bridge plans can be used in classrooms when the teacher wants his/her students to achieve a certain goal.
ActivInspire
It is a different and interesting program for designing activities. It's mostly used in smart boards where students can solve the activities using the tools provided for each activity. I've designed science activities for grade 2 which included tracing, matching, categorizing using containers, using magic ink, etc.
